Ford engines

FordFord is an American automobile company that makes cars under the Ford brand. The fourth largest car manufacturer in the world in terms of production volume for the entire period of its existence; it is currently third in the US after GM and Toyota, and second in Europe after Volkswagen. The catalog contains engines for the following Ford models: C-Max | Fiesta | Focus | Fusion | Galaxy | Mondeo | Puma | S-Max.

Engine Ford N38H

The 2.3-liter Ford N38H or 2.3 EcoBoost engine was produced in Ohio from 2014 to 2017 and was installed only in the American version of the popular sixth-generation Mustang coupe. There is an export modification of this turbo engine with 317 hp under its symbol N48H.

Engine Ford 99E

The 4.0-liter V6 engine Ford 99E or 4.0 SOHC was produced in Germany from 1997 to 2010 and was installed on the second, third and fourth generations of the popular Explorer SUV. A similar engine, but with its own index, was installed on the fifth Mustang and Ranger pickup truck.

Engine Ford 99X

The 4.0-liter V6 Ford 99X or 4.0 OHV engine was produced in Germany from 1990 to 2000 and was installed in the first two generations of the Explorer SUV, popular in a number of markets. A similar engine, but under a different designation, was installed on the Aerostar minibus and Ranger pickup truck.

Engine Ford BRF

The 2.9-liter V6 Ford BRF engine was produced at a plant in Germany from 1986 to 1994 and was installed only on the first generation of the Scorpio model, popular on the European market. There are modifications of this motor with slight differences under the symbol BRC, BRD, BRE.

Ford Nano engines

The Ford Nano engine line has been produced at the Lima plant in Ohio since 2014 and is installed on many of the group’s major models, such as the Bronco, Edge, Explorer and F-Series pickups. There are two generations of these turbo engines with direct and combined fuel injection.

Ford Cologne V6 engines

The Ford Cologne V6 engine series was produced at a plant in Cologne from 1964 to 2011 and was installed on many popular models of the American concern, better known for the Explorer. These power units are conventionally divided into three generations, the first two being OHV and the third being SOHC.

Engine Ford 2.2 TDCi

The 2.2-liter Ford 2.2 TDCi diesel engines were produced by the company from 2006 to 2018 and were installed on a number of popular models under the Ford, Land Rover and Jaguar brands. In fact, these power units are clones of the Peugeot DW12MTED4 and DW12CTED4 engines.

Engine Ford 1.6 TDCi

The 1.6-liter Ford 1.6 TDCi diesel engines were produced by the concern from 2004 to 2017 in two different generations: the first with a 16-valve cylinder head and the second with an 8-valve cylinder head. These diesels are known as Peugeot 1.6 HDi, Mazda 1.6 CiTD, Volvo D4162T and D4164T in other cars.

Engine Ford 1.5 TDCi

The 1.5-liter 8-valve Ford 1.5 TDCi diesel engines were introduced only in 2012 as a further development of the 1.6 TDCi series engines, developed jointly with the PSA concern. However, Peugeot-Citroen switched to their own line of 16-valve 1.5 HDi diesels.

Engine Ford C9DA/C9DB/C9DC

The 1.8-liter Ford C9DA, C9DB, C9DC or 1.8 Endura-DI engine was assembled from 1999 to 2004 and installed on the very first generation of the Focus model in versions before and after restyling. This unit, unlike a number of predecessors, has become widespread.

Engine Ford BHDA/BHDB

The 1.8-liter Ford BHDA, BHDB or 1.8 Endura-DI engine was produced from 1999 to 2004 and was installed on the first generation of the popular Focus model in all its many bodies. This power unit is not so common, unlike its 90-horsepower modification.

Engine Ford RTP/RTN/RTQ

The 1.8-liter Ford RTP, RTN, RTQ or 1.8 Endura-DI engine was produced from 1999 to 2002 and was installed only on the fourth generation of the Fiesta model in the restyled version. This diesel power unit, unlike its predecessor, has proven itself well.

Engine Ford RFA/RFB

The 1.8-liter Ford RFA / RFB or 1.8 Endura-DE engine was produced from 1990 to 1993 and was installed on the second generation of the popular Sierra model in the restyled version. This power unit had low reliability, which earned it a bad reputation.

Engine Ford RVA

The 1.8-liter diesel engine Ford RVA or 1.8 Endura-DE was assembled from 1995 to 1998 and was installed on the sixth generation of the Escort model, in a number of sources it is considered the seventh. The motor was not famous for its reliability, but it had a simple design and good repairability.

Engine Ford RTK/RTJ

The 1.8-liter Ford RTK / RTJ or 1.8 Endura DE engine was produced from 1995 to 2000 and was installed on the fourth generation of the popular Fiesta model, in the pre-facelift version. This diesel engine is not very reliable, but it is repairable due to its simple design.

Engine Ford JXFA

The 2.4-liter Ford JXFA engine or 2.4 TDCi Duratorq Puma was produced from 2006 to 2014 and was installed on the seventh (in some sources, the fourth) generation of Transit minibuses. This diesel unit was part of the Common Rail series of engines with power from 100 to 140 hp.

Engine Ford QJBB/QJBA

The 2.2-liter Ford QJBB, QJBA or 2.2 TDCi Duratorq engine was produced from 2004 to 2007 and was installed only on expensive modifications of the third generation of the Mondeo model. The motor is known for frequent problems with the Delphi common rail fuel system.

Engine Ford FMBA

The 2.0-liter Ford FMBA or 2.0 TDCi Duratorq engine was produced from 2002 to 2007 and was installed on the third generation of the very popular Mondeo model. This unit was disliked due to the vagaries of the Delphi Common Rail fuel system.

Engine Ford KNWA

The 2.2-liter Ford KNWA engine or 2.2 TDCi Duratorq DW was produced from 2010 to 2015 and was installed only on charged versions of the popular Galaxy and S-MAX minivans. This unit is actually just one of the options for the French diesel DW12CTED4.

Engine Ford Q4BA

The 2.2-liter Ford Q4BA or 2.2 TDCi Duratorq DW engine was produced from 2008 to 2010 and was installed only on the top trim levels of the fourth Mondeo in the pre-facelift version. The unit is inherently a type of French diesel engine DW12BTED4.

Engine Ford TXDA

The 2.0-liter Ford TXDA or 2.0 TDCi Duratorq DW engine was produced from 2010 to 2012 and was installed only on the first generation of the popular Kuga crossover after restyling. This power unit was essentially a clone of the famous French diesel engine DW10CTED4.

Engine Ford QXWA/QXWB

The 2.0-liter Ford QXWA, QXWB or 2.0 Duratorq DW engine was produced from 2006 to 2015 and was installed only on the second generation of the popular Galaxy minivan and S-MAX. This unit is essentially a modification of the French diesel engine DW10BTED4.

Engine Ford FXFA

The 2.4-liter Ford FXFA or 2.4 TDDi Duratorq DI engine was produced from 2000 to 2006 and was installed on the fourth generation of the popular Transit minibus. Despite the impressive design, this diesel engine was not very reliable.

Engine Ford D6BA

The 2.0-liter Ford D6BA engine or 2.0 TDDi Duratorq DI was produced from 2000 to 2002 and was installed only on the third generation of the Mondeo model and only before its first restyling. This diesel engine lasted two years on the market and gave way to a Common Rail unit.

Engine Ford D5BA

The 2.0-liter Ford D5BA or 2.0 TDDi Duratorq DI engine was produced from 2000 to 2005 and was installed only on the third generation of the very popular Mondeo model. This diesel modification was mainly intended for corporate fleets or taxis.

Engine Ford D3FA

The 2.0-liter Ford D3FA or 2.0 TDDi Duratorq DI engine was produced from 2000 to 2006 and was installed only on the fourth generation of the Transit model in all its many bodies. The weakest modification in the company’s diesel family was not even equipped with an intercooler.

Engine Ford QYWA

The 1.8-liter Ford QYWA or 1.8 Duratorq DLD-418 engine was produced from 2006 to 2012 and was installed on the popular Galaxy and S-Max minivans. This engine is an Endura diesel engine equipped with a Common Rail system.

Engine Ford KKDA/KKDB

The 1.8-liter Ford KKDA, KKDB or 1.8 Duratorq DLD-418 engine was assembled from 2004 to 2011 and installed on the second generation of the Focus model and the C-Max compact MPV. This engine is an old Endura diesel with a Common Rail Delphi system.

Engine Ford FFDA

The 1.8-liter Ford FFDA engine or 1.8 Duratorq DLD-418 was produced from 2002 to 2004 and was installed only on the very first generation of the Focus model in the restyled version. This unit is essentially an old Endura diesel that is equipped with a Common Rail system.

Engine Ford HCPA

The 1.8-liter Ford HCPA engine or 1.8 Duratorq DLD-418 was produced from 2002 to 2013 and was installed both on the C-Max compact van and on many commercial models of the Connect series. This engine is essentially an Endura diesel engine equipped with a Common Rail system.

Engine Ford G8DA/G8DB

The 1.6-liter Ford G8DA, G8DB or 1.6 Duratorq DLD-416 engine was assembled from 2003 to 2010 and installed both on the second generation Focus and on the C-Max compact MPV, created on its basis. The power unit is essentially a variation of the French DV6TED4 diesel engine.

Engine Ford GPDA/GPDC

The 1.6-liter Ford GPDA, GPDC or 1.6 Duratorq DLD-416 engine was assembled from 2005 to 2010 and was installed only on the second generation of the Focus model and the C-Max compact MPV based on it. This unit was essentially just a variation of the French DV6ATED4 diesel engine.

Engine Ford UGJC

The 1.5-liter Ford UGJC engine or 1.5 Duratorq DLD-415 was produced from 2012 to 2017 and was installed only on the sixth generation of the Fiesta model and the B-Max compact van based on it. This unit was developed by PSA, so it has a lot in common with the DV5TED4 motor.

Engine Ford F6JA/F6JB

The 1.4-liter Ford F6JA, F6JB or 1.4 Duratorq DLD-414 engine was assembled from 2002 to 2008 and was installed only on the fifth generation of the Fiesta model or the Fusion compact van based on it. This power unit is essentially a modification of the Peugeot-Citroen DV4TD diesel engine.

Engine Ford CDDA

The 1.6-liter 8-valve Ford CDDA engine was assembled from 2002 to 2005 at a plant in South Africa and was installed only on the budget version of the popular first-generation Focus model. This unit is essentially a Brazilian Zetec RoCam motor, but officially called Duratec 8v.

Engine Ford A9JA/A9JB

The 1.3-liter Ford A9JA or A9JB or Zetec RoCam 1.3 engine was assembled from 2001 to 2008 and was installed only on the fifth generation of the Fiesta hatchback in a three or five door body. This power unit in the official catalogs of the company is referred to only as Duratec 8v.

Engine Ford MHA/MHB

The 1.7-liter Ford MHA / MHB or 1.7 Zetec SE 125ps engine was assembled from 1997 to 2001 and was installed only on the original Puma sports coupe, based on the Fiesta hatchback. A limited series of 500 units came out boosted to 155 hp and 162 Nm version of the engine.

Engine Ford FYDA/FYDB/FYDC

The 1.6-liter Ford FYDA, FYDB, FYDC or 1.6 Zetec SE engine was produced from 1998 to 2004 and was installed on the European versions of the first Focus in all its numerous bodies. This power unit is found on the Fiesta model, but under its FYJA and FYJB indices.

Engine Ford FXJA/FXJB/FXJC

The 1.4-liter Ford FXJA, FXJB, FXJC or 1.4 Zetec SE engine was produced from 2001 to 2012 and was installed on such well-known models as the Fiesta and the Fusion compact MPV created on its basis. Around 2004, all these units were transferred to EURO 4 and renamed from Zetec to Duratec.

Engine Ford FUJA/FUJB

The 1.25-liter Ford FUJA / FUJB or 1.25 Zetec SE engine was produced from 2001 to 2011 and was installed on the fifth generation of the Fiesta hatchback and the Fusion compact van, created on its basis. After the transition to EURO 4 in 2004, such gasoline units became known as Duratec.

Engine Ford RKB

The 1.8-liter Ford RKB or 1.8 Zetec 16v engine was produced by the company from 1994 to 1998 and was installed on the first and second generations of the popular Mondeo model in all its bodies. A similar power unit was installed on the Escort, but only under its own RKC index.

Engine Ford EDDB

The 2.0-liter Ford EDDB engine or Focus 1 2.0 Zetec was produced from 1998 to 2004 and was installed on the first generation of the Focus model. A similar unit of the Maverick crossover had an EDBA index, and the Cougar engine was called EDBD.

Engine Ford NGA

The 2.0-liter Ford NGA or Mondeo 2.0 Zetec engine was produced from 1993 to 1998 and was installed on the first two generations of Mondeo in all the numerous bodies of this car. This is the only power unit in the line that existed in versions of both Zetec and Zetec-E.

Engine Ford EYDB

The 1.8-liter Ford EYDB engine or Focus 1 1.8 Zetec was produced from 1998 to 2004 and was installed only on the first generation of the very popular Focus model in all its bodies. The same power unit on the Mondeo was known under a slightly different RKF or RKH index.

Engine Ford EDDC

The 2.0-liter Ford EDDC or 2.0 Zetec E 16v engine was produced from 1998 to 2004 and was installed on the first generation of the Focus model in all the numerous car bodies. A similar power unit was installed on the Mondeo, but under different indices, such as NGB or NGC.

Engine Ford EYDC

The 1.8-liter Ford EYDC or 1.8 Zetec E engine was produced by the company from 1998 to 2004 and was installed on the first generation of the popular Focus model in all its different bodies. A similar power unit was installed on the Mondeo, but under different indices, such as RKF and RKH.

Engine Ford L1N

The 1.6-liter Ford L1N or Mondeo 1.6 Zetec E 16v engine was produced from 1998 to 2000 and was installed on the second generation of the popular Mondeo model in several of its bodies. This power unit had several modifications under slightly different indices L1L and L1Q.

Engine Ford L1E

The 1.6-liter Ford L1E or Escort 1.6 Zetec 16v engine was produced from 1992 to 1995 and was installed on the 5th generation of the once popular Escort model in all its bodies. Almost the same power unit was installed on the Mondeo 1, however, under its own L1F index.

Engine Ford YS4E

The 2.0-liter Ford YS4E or Split Port 2.0 engine was assembled from 2000 to 2004 in Michigan and was installed only on the first generation of the American version of the popular Focus model. The motor has become widespread in many other countries, thanks to the large number of exports of cars with it.

Engine Ford F8CE

The 2.0-liter Ford F8CE or Split Port SPI 2000 engine was produced from 1997 to 2002 and was installed on the third generation of the Escort model in the version for the US and Canadian markets. This power unit was produced for the first years with minor changes under the F7CE index.

Engine Ford E5SA

The 2.3-liter 16-valve Ford E5SA or 2.3 I4 DOHC engine was assembled from 2000 to 2006 and installed only on the first generation of the Galaxy minivan, but already in the restyled version. Before the update, this motor was called Y5B and was a variation of the well-known Y5A unit.

Engine Ford ZVSA

The 2.0-liter 8-valve Ford ZVSA or 2.0 I4 DOHC engine was assembled from 2000 to 2006 and installed on a restyled version of the first generation of the popular Galaxy minivan. Prior to the modernization of the model in 2000, this power unit was known under the NSE index.

Engine Ford J4D

The company assembled the 1.3-liter Ford Ka 1.3 J4D gasoline engine from 1996 to 2002 and installed it only on the first generation of the very popular Ka model in the European market. There was a less powerful version of such a power unit under its own JJB index.

Engine Ford JJA

The 1.3-liter Ford Fiesta 1.3 JJA gasoline engine was produced from 1995 to 2002 and was installed only on the basic modifications of the fourth generation of the famous Fiesta model. There was also a slightly more powerful version of this power unit with its J4C index.

Engine Ford YVDA

The 2.3-liter Ford YVDA turbo engine or 2.3 EcoBoost 350 SCTI was assembled from 2016 to 2018 and was installed only on the most charged modification of the Focus 3 model with the RS index. A less forced version of this unit is placed on the Mustang coupe and the Explorer SUV.

Engine Ford R9DA

The 2.0-liter turbo engine Ford R9DA or 2.0 EcoBoost 250 was produced from 2012 to 2015 and was installed on a special charged version of the popular Focus model under the ST index. After restyling, a similar, but slightly modified motor came to replace this unit.

Engine Ford TPWA

The 2.0-liter Ford TPWA turbo engine or 2.0 EcoBoost 240 was produced from 2010 to 2015 and was installed only on charged versions of the restyled first generation S-MAX minivan. A similar motor with the TPBA index was installed on the fourth generation of the Mondeo model.

Engine Ford TPBA

The 2.0-liter Ford TPBA or Mondeo 4 2.0 EcoBoost engine was produced from 2010 to 2014 and was installed on a restyled version of the fourth generation of the popular Mondeo model. After the change of generations of the model, this power unit received a completely different R9CB index.

Engine Ford TNBB/TNBA

The 2.0-liter Ford TNBB / TNBA or 2.0 EcoBoost 200 engine was produced from 2010 to 2014 and was installed only on the fourth generation of the popular Mondeo model after restyling. Galaxy and S-MAX minivans were equipped with similar engines, but with TNWA and TNWB indices.

Engine Ford JTMA/JTMB

The 1.6-liter Ford JTMA / JTMB or Kuga 1.6 EcoBoost engine was assembled from 2012 to 2016 and installed on a pre-styling version of the second generation of the famous Kuga crossover. A similar motor was installed on the Focus model as JTDA and JTDB and on the Fiesta under the JTJA index.

Engine Ford JTBA/JTBB

The 1.6-liter Ford JTBA / JTBB or 1.6 EcoBoost 160 engine was produced from 2010 to 2014 and was installed on a restyled version of the fourth generation of the famous Mondeo model. A similar power unit with the JTWA index and the JTWB index was installed on the S-Max and Galaxy minivans.

Engine Ford JQMA

The 1.6-liter turbo engine Ford JQMA or Kuga 2 1.6 EcoBoost was assembled from 2012 to 2016 and was installed only on the second generation of the Kuga crossover in modifications before restyling. This motor was marked by a number of recall campaigns due to an unsuccessful cooling system.

Engine Ford JQDA

The 1.6-liter turbo engine Ford JQDA or 1.6 EcoBoost 150 SCTI was introduced in 2009 and a year later it was under the hood of the third generation of the Focus model and the C-MAX compact van. There are other modifications of this power unit with other JQDB and YUDA indexes.

Engine Ford M9MA

The 1.5-liter Ford M9MA or Kuga 1.5 EcoBoost turbo engine was assembled from 2014 to 2019 and was installed on Kuga instead of its 1.6-liter unit. This motor was developed after the introduction in a number of countries of tax incentives for internal combustion engines less than 1500 cm³.

Engine Ford M9DA

The 1.5-liter Ford M9DA engine or Focus 3 1.5 EcoBoost was produced from 2014 to 2018 and was installed on the third generation of the popular Focus model and C-Max compact MPV. A similar motor is found on the Fusion model for the US market, but under its own index.

Engine Ford M8MA

The 1.5-liter Ford M8MA or Kuga 2 1.5 EcoBoost engine was produced from 2014 to 2019 and was installed only on the second generation of the Kuga crossover in a manual transmission modification. A similar power unit is found on Galaxy and S-Max minivans, but under the UNCI index.
