The engine has a good resource (about 300 thousand km), and, with careful operation, has established itself as problem-free. The engine has a long history and all its shortcomings are known – increased oil consumption, vibrations, unreliable ignition coils, possible problems with the phase regulator with a mileage of 60-70 thousand km, and it is also necessary to monitor the condition of the toothed belt (in case of breakage, the Renault F4R 2.0 engine bends valves). Engine Nissan HR16DE/H4M

The Renault-Nissan HR16DE / H4M engine is a logical continuation of the Renault K4M internal combustion engine. The motor was modernized, mainly the gas distribution mechanism and electronic control were changed. Also, the engine was equipped with a timing chain drive, new camshafts and two fuel injectors per cylinder. Hydraulic lifters were removed from the engine (adjustment by selecting pushers every 100 thousand km). The variable valve timing system is retained on the intake shaft. Engine Nissan QG15DE

The QG15DE engine is developed on the basis of the QG16DE, it was created with an eye to replacing the GA15DE. The manufacturer has reduced the diameter of the cylinders of the cylinder block. In addition, other pistons were used in the engine. The engine has an increased Compression ratio. But in general, for the most part, the engine is a repetition of the QG16DE, which served as a base for it. In order to reduce the toxicity of the outlet, the EGR system was used on the engine, a mechanical throttle valve was installed. Engine Nissan QG16DE

The 79 kW QG16DE engine with two camshafts has four valves per cylinder. The engine camshafts are driven by a chain. The cylinder block of the QG16DE engine is a single casting that forms the cylinders, a cooling jacket, the upper part of the crankcase and five crankshaft bearings made in the form of crankcase baffles. The block is made of special ductile iron with cylinders bored directly into the block body. The engine main bearing caps are machined with blocks and are therefore not interchangeable. Engine Nissan MR20DE/M4R

The start of engine production according to various sources dates back to 2004 or 2005 and is produced to this day. First, it was installed on the Nissan Lafesta and Nissan Serena minivans, as well as on the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy sedan (in Russia, Nissan Almera, produced at AvtoVAZ facilities). Since 2006, it has been installed on the Nissan Qashqai (Dualis in Japan, in America – Rogue), and since 2007 on the Nissan X-trail. This engine is installed not only on Nissan cars, but also on Renault cars such as: Renault Clio, Renault Laguna, Renault Mégane and others.
