The Cummins 6BT is the best-known engine for the B-Series trucks. The Cummins 5.9 L engine was the first diesel engine used in full-size pickup trucks as an alternative to the large V8 gasoline engines. Production started in 1984. It was developed as an engine for Case agricultural machinery. But in the future, the 6BT was widely used in light, medium and some heavy trucks and buses. Continue reading Engine Cummins 6BT 5.9L
The Cummins ISF 2.8 engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, the smallest and lightest engine in the ISF engine family. ISF 2.8 is a modern engine that combines two main qualities – power and compactness. It is the optimal choice of powertrain for light commercial vehicles such as pickup trucks, trucks, vans, trucks. Known in the US market as Cummins R2.8.
The Cummins 6ISBe engine is a 4-stroke diesel engine with 6 cylinders in a row, which is a rather unusual design solution for engines of this class. It is considered the quietest engine in the series.
The Cummins ISB 5.9L is an inline six-cylinder turbodiesel engine from the B engine family. In 1998, the ISB engine replaced its predecessor (6BT 5.9L). The engine retained its basic dimensions, but received modern technologies that brought it to a new level of power, fuel consumption and environmental friendliness.
With exceptional performance, light weight, low operating costs, and the reliability and durability expected from Cummins, the ISF 3.8 is ideal for light commercial vehicles. The ISF 3.8 is the lightest and most powerful engine in its class and is the ideal choice for weight-sensitive and space-limited installations over 3.5 tonnes GVW.
Cummins 6CT / 6CTA 8.3 – 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine with a volume of 8.3 liters, designed for use in power plants or similar industrial equipment.
The 4BT engine is a water-cooled, in-line 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine from the Cummins B series. The engine has a cast iron cylinder block with holes drilled directly into the cylinder block. Valve mechanism of the engine – OHV. The camshaft is mounted in a block and is driven by the crankshaft through gears at the front of the engine (as well as the oil pump). The Cummins ISB 6.7-liter in-line six-cylinder turbo diesel engine is the latest and largest version of the B Series. The ISB 6.7 is also the most powerful diesel engine produced by Cummins (350 hp and 881 Nm of torque) for light / medium trucks.
The Cummins 4ISBe is a 4-cylinder engine with a high output of 210 hp, which provides the highest power-to-weight ratio in its class. In addition, the engine develops a torque of up to 700 Nm. The optimized engine and exhaust aftertreatment system significantly reduces fuel consumption and extends service intervals. The letter “e” in the designation indicates that it is designed for Europe.
