Disadvantages of the Ford L1N engine
- This power unit is certainly not very powerful, but very reliable and resourceful;
- The biggest problem for owners is clogged filters in the fuel pump;
- Replacing the timing belt and bypass roller may be required at a range of 60,000 km;
- Sources of oil leaks are usually front and rear crankshaft oil seals;
- Since hydraulic lifters are not provided, you will have to adjust the valves.
