Toyota HiAce

Toyota HiAce is a Japanese commercial vehicle from Toyota Motor Corporation. It began to be produced in 1967. The car is manufactured in two main body modifications – a 12-seater minibus and a 2-seater pickup truck. Minivans, vans, taxis and ambulances are also known. Since 2004, the fifth generation of the model has been produced in the Philippines. The car is also assembled in China, Malaysia, South Africa, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan.

Engine Toyota 7GR-FKS

The 3.5-liter V6 Toyota 7GR-FKS engine has been produced at a plant in China since 2015 and is installed on the HiAce minibus or the Chinese version of the Land Cruiser Prado 150 SUV. This unit is essentially one of the varieties of the popular 2GR-FKS engine.

Engine Toyota 1RZ-E

The 2.0-liter Toyota 1RZ-E engine was produced from 1989 to 2004 in Japan for pickups and minibuses. This motor is known for its simple design, as well as unpretentiousness. In parallel with electronic injection, a carburetor version with the 1RZ index was also produced.

Engine Toyota 2RZ-E

The 2.4-liter Toyota 2RZ-E engine was produced from 1989 to 2004 in Japan and only for commercial vehicles. Due to the lack of balance shafts, the motor became famous for vibrations. In parallel with the injection until 1999, a carburetor version with the 2RZ index was produced.

Engine Toyota 3RZ-FE

The 2.7-liter Toyota 3RZ-FE engine was produced from 1994 to 2004 in Japan for pickups and SUVs. This is one of the most voluminous 4-cylinder power units in the line, and the engineers had to complicate its design with the presence of 2 balancer shafts in the crankcase.

Engine Toyota 1TR-FE

The 2.0-liter Toyota 1TR-FE engine has been assembled since 2004 at factories in Japan and Indonesia for pickups and minibuses. At first, the motor was equipped with a phase regulator only at the inlet, and since 2015 there has already been Dual VVT-i. There is a gas version of this unit with the index 1TR-FPE.

Engine Toyota 2TR-FE

The 2.7-liter Toyota 2TR-FE engine has been assembled since 2004 at factories in Japan and Indonesia for large pickups and SUVs. This motor was originally equipped with a VVT-i phase regulator at the intake, and in 2015 a newer Dual VVT-i system appeared already on two shafts.

Engine Toyota 1UZ-FE

The 4.0-liter V8 Toyota 1UZ-FE engine was assembled at the Tahara plant from 1989 to 2004 and installed on the most powerful rear-wheel drive models of the Japanese concern of that time. There are two generations of the motor: 1989 without a phase regulator and 1997 with the VVT-i system.

Engine Toyota 2Y

The 1.8-liter Toyota 2Y carbureted engine was produced in Japan from 1982 to 1997 and was installed on Hiace and Town Ace minibuses, as well as Hilux pickups and their various clones. There were modifications of this motor with a catalyst 2Y-J, 2Y-U and a gas version 2Y-P.

Engine Toyota 3Y

The 2.0-liter Toyota 3Y carburetor engine was produced by the concern from 1982 to 1991 and was installed on Town Ace and Hiace minibuses, Hilux pickups, and Crown S120 sedans. There were modifications of the unit with a catalyst 3Y-C, 3Y-U and gas versions 3Y-P, 3Y-PU.

Engine Toyota 4Y

The 2.2-liter Toyota 4Y carbureted engine was produced by the company from 1985 to 1997 and was installed on the popular Town Ace and HiAce minibuses, Hilux pickups and Crown S130 sedans. Especially for commercial vehicles, a modification derated up to 70 hp was produced.

Engine Toyota 4Y-E

The 2.2-liter Toyota 4Y-E injection engine was produced by the concern from 1985 to 1996 and was installed on HiAce or Town Ace minibuses, Hilux pickups and 4Runner SUVs. After the end of production, the motor moved to China, where it is assembled as GW 491QE or Q491ME.

Engine Toyota 1KD-FTV

The new 3-liter 1KD-FTV diesel engine has significantly improved its performance, coming close to gasoline engines of the same capacity in terms of power and significantly exceeding them in terms of torque.

Engine Toyota 1KZ

In 1993, the 1KZ engine was created and put into mass production. Until now, it is considered the most successful version of the diesel engine. This Toyota engine was able to displace 2L-TE diesel engines from the market in a short time.

Engine Toyota 2L

The 2.4-liter Toyota 2L diesel engine was assembled at the company’s factories from 1982 to 2004 and put on many popular models of its time, such as Hiace, Hilux, Crown and Mark II. During the modernization of the motor in 1988, the rocker arms were replaced with conventional pushers.

Engine Toyota 3L

The Japanese company produced the 2.8-liter Toyota 3L diesel engine from 1988 to 2015 and installed it on HiAce minibuses, Dyna delivery trucks, and Hilux SUV pickups. Copies of this power unit are still produced for various commercial vehicles.

Engine Toyota 5L / 5L-E

The 3.0-liter Toyota 5L diesel engine was assembled at the company’s plant from 1994 to 2005 and put on HiAce minibuses, Hilux pickups or various modifications of the Dyna truck. Numerous clones of this power unit are still produced in a number of Asian countries.
