BMW X5 engines
The BMW X5 is a German mid-range luxury car manufactured by BMW AG since 1999. In 2013, the 3rd generation of the model was released. Traditionally, cars were made in South Carolina, USA and Mexico. Since 2009, the car has also been assembled in the Russian city of Kaliningrad at the Avtotor plant, and since 2015 – at the manufacturer’s own production facility in Chennai, India. The 1st generation car was developed using Land Rover technologies, and since 2006 it has been produced in the new E70 body.
The BMW X5 was offered with 17 engines since 1999 (5 diesel, 12 petrol). Displacement ranges from 2.0 to 4.8 liters, power output from 116 to 635 hp. All of them use a timing chain. 11 are turbocharged. The longest rated lifespan belongs to the BMW M57D30 (about 400,000 km).
