Opel Vectra

The Opel Vectra is a German mid-size car from Adam Opel AG. Produced from 1988 to 2008. In total, three consecutive versions / generations were made – A, B, C. The car was manufactured in body modifications of a sedan, a hatchback, as well as in the 2nd and 3rd generations of the station wagon in a front- and all-wheel drive layout. In 2009 the model was replaced by Opel Insignia. In total, cars of the first version were produced about 2 million copies until 1995, as well as about 200 thousand from 2000 to 2005.

The 1.6-liter Opel Z16XEP or LJ7 engine was produced from 2002 to 2009 in Hungary and was installed on most of the concern’s models of its time, such as Astra, Vectra and Zafira. This power unit had a modified version under its own index Z16XE1.

The 1.8-liter Opel Z18XE or 2H9 engine was assembled at a plant in Hungary from 2000 to 2009 and installed on almost all popular mid-size models of the group of its time. This power unit was essentially a modernized version of the famous X18XE1 motor.

Engine Opel Z18XER

The 1.8-liter Opel Z18XER or 2H0 engine was produced from 2005 to 2010 in Hungary and was installed on a number of popular cars of the concern, such as Astra, Vectra, Insignia or Zafira. This power unit was installed on European Chevrolet models under the symbol F18D4.

Engine Opel Z22SE

The 2.2-liter Opel Z22SE or L61 engine was produced from 2000 to 2005 in Germany and the USA and was installed on many mid-size models of the concern, such as the Astra, Vectra or Zafira. The motor received an atypical design for the concern with an aluminum block and a timing chain.

The 2.2-liter Opel Z22YH engine was assembled from 2003 to 2010 at a plant in Germany and installed on a number of popular models of the company, such as Vectra, Zafira or Signum. The same unit, but in a modification with phase regulators, was installed on Alfa Romeo as 2.2 JTS.

Engine Opel Z28NET

The 2.8-liter V6 turbo engine Opel Z28NET was produced in Australia from 2005 to 2008 and was installed on the Opel Vectra and Signum until it gave way to the similar Euro 5 unit A28NET. The same engine was installed on Saab cars under its own B284L index.

The 2.0-liter diesel engine Opel X20DTL or LD3 was produced from 1996 to 2000 and was installed on a number of the concern’s most popular models, such as Astra, Vectra, Zafira. This in-house developed power unit was equipped with a Bosch type VP-44 fuel pump.

The 2.0-liter Opel X20DTH or LD1 diesel engine was produced from 1997 to 2000 and was installed only on the company’s two most popular cars, the Vectra and Omega models. After upgrading to Euro 3 environmental standards, the unit received a different Y20DTH index.

The 2.0-liter diesel engine Opel Y20DTH or LBS was produced from 2000 to 2005 and was installed on such popular models of the company as Astra, Vectra, Signum or Zafira. This power unit was essentially a Euro 3 version of the well-known motor under the X20DTH index.

The 2.2-liter Opel Y22DTR or L50 diesel engine was produced from 2000 to 2005 and was installed on a number of popular models of the company, such as Astra, Vectra, Signum or Zafira. This unit was the most voluminous and powerful diesel engine of the concern of its own design.

The 1.9-liter diesel engine Opel Z19DT or 1.9 CDTi was produced from 2004 to 2010 and was installed on such popular models of the German concern as Astra, Vectra or Zafira. This 8-valve engine was created by Fiat and was installed on Saab under its D207E index.

The 1.9-liter Opel Z19DTH or LRD diesel engine was produced from 2004 to 2010 at an enterprise in Germany and was installed on such concern models as Astra, Vectra and Zafira. This 16-valve engine was created by Fiat and was installed on Saab as the D207L.
