Engine Mercedes M112 E24

The Mercedes M112 E24 engine appeared in 1997 and was intended for models with an index of 240. The youngest member of the family is based on the M112 E28 cylinder block, modified for a 83.2 mm piston.

Engine Mercedes M112 E26

The M112 E26 engine – one of the youngest representatives in the extensive family of M112 engines appeared in 2000 as a replacement for the M112 E24 and was intended for Mercedes models with an index of 240.

Engine Mercedes M112 E28

The M112 E28 engine appeared in 1997 and was positioned as a replacement for the in-line M104 E28. The new engine was based on the M112 E32 cylinder block, where a crankshaft with a smaller piston stroke was placed.

Engine Mercedes M112 E32

The Mercedes M112 E32 engine was developed in 1997 to replace the old E32 engine from the M104 series. The main difference between the new series and the old one was that now the motors became V-shaped with a breakup angle of 90 degrees.

Engine Mercedes M112 E37

The Mercedes M112 E37 engine was intended for large cars and became the largest in the M112 family. Compared to the E32, in the E37 the cylinder block has been changed to accommodate a larger piston diameter of 97 mm.

Engine Mercedes M272 E25

The Mercedes M272 E25 engine, with a working volume of 2.5 liters, was released in 2005 and was intended to replace the previous M112 E26. The engine block is the same as that of the M272 E30, but a crankshaft with a piston stroke reduced to 68.4 mm is used.

Engine Mercedes M272 E30

The Mercedes M272 E30 engine occupies a place between the M272 E35 and M272 E25, the main purpose of the model is to replace the outdated M112 E28. The M272 E30 aluminum V-shaped (camber 90°) engine block is similar to that used in the E35, but with smaller cylinders and a short-stroke crankshaft.

The M272 E35 engine was the next step in the development of the V6 from Mercedes and was intended to replace the M112 E32 and M112 E37. In addition to the 3.5-liter, the new family includes the M272 E25 and M272 E30, with a working volume of 2.5 and 3 liters, respectively.

Engine Mercedes M276 DE30

The Mercedes M276 V6 engine with a volume of 3.0 liters was introduced in 2013 and has since been installed on most modern models of the concern. There are 2 modifications of this power unit: DE30 LA red, with a capacity of 272 hp and DE30 LA, with a capacity of 333 to 367 hp.

Engine Mercedes M137

The 5.8-liter 12-cylinder Mercedes M137 E58 engine was produced from 1999 to 2003 and was installed on the top models of the concern, such as the S-Class sedan and coupe in the 220th body. Based on this power unit, AMG has developed its own 6.3-liter engine.

Engine Mercedes M275

The 5.5-liter 12-cylinder Mercedes M275 E55 engine was produced from 2002 to 2013 and was installed on the group’s most expensive models, such as the CL-Class, S-Class or SL-Class. Based on this unit, the M285 engine for Maybach limousines and the 6.0-liter AMG engine were created.

Engine Mercedes M279 E60

The 6.0-liter 12-cylinder Mercedes M279 engine was first introduced in 2012 and is installed on top versions of CL, G, S and SL models, including the G65, S65 or SL65. There are two modifications of this power unit: stock for 530 hp and AMG for 630 hp.

Engine Mercedes OM616

The 2.4-liter in-line diesel engine Mercedes OM616 was produced from 1973 to 1992 and was installed both on mid-size models such as W115, W123, and on the Geländewagen SUV. This power unit was seriously upgraded in 1978, so there are two versions of it.

Engine Mercedes OM611

The 2.2-liter in-line diesel engine Mercedes OM 611 was produced from 1997 to 2006 and was installed both on passenger models, such as W202 or W210, and on Sprinter minibuses. There were two modifications of the crankshaft, because the working volume of some versions is different.

Engine Mercedes OM640

The Mercedes OM640 or A-Class 2.0 CDI engine was produced from 2004 to 2012 and was installed only on the second generation of the A-class and the similar B-class compact van. This power unit essentially replaced the popular OM668 diesel engine with a volume of 1.7 liters.

Engine Mercedes OM646

The 2.2-liter inline diesel engine Mercedes OM 646 was produced from 2002 to 2010 and was installed on the C-Class, CLK-Class and E-Class models, as well as Vito and Sprinter minibuses. There was a version of such a transverse diesel engine OM 644 for the Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Engine Mercedes OM651

Mercedes-Benz OM651 is a family of in-line four-cylinder diesel engines from Mercedes-Benz, first introduced in October 2008. It was created as a replacement for the OM646 and OM642 series. Production took place at a plant in Stuttgart, Germany.

Engine Mercedes OM654

The 2.0-liter Mercedes OM654 diesel engine has been assembled by the concern only since 2016 and is distinguished by an aluminum cylinder block with Nanoslide cast iron plasma spraying. There is a version of the transverse arrangement OM654q and an updated modification of OM654M, as well as a modification with a volume of 1.6 liters.

Engine Mercedes OM668

The 1.7-liter Mercedes OM668 or Vaneo 1.7 CDI engine was produced from 1998 to 2005 and was installed only on the first generation A-Class or a similar Vaneo compact van. The diesel engine had two versions: the regular DE 17 LA and the derated DE 17 LA red. without intercooler.

Engine Volkswagen AKQ

The 1.4-liter Volkswagen AKQ 16v gasoline engine was produced from 1997 to 2000 and was installed only on the fourth generation Golf, the similar Bora and the small Lupo. This power unit is a EURO 2 version of the more well-known motor with the AXP index.

Engine Volkswagen AXP

The 1.4-liter 16-valve Volkswagen AXP engine was produced from 2000 to 2004 and was installed on the fourth generation of the Golf model and analogues such as Bora, Octavia, Toledo and Leon. This power unit at one time replaced a similar AKQ motor and then gave way to BCA.

Engine Volkswagen BBY

The 1.4-liter Volkswagen BBY engine was assembled at the concern’s plant from 2001 to 2005 and installed on such compact models of the company as Lupo, Polo, Fabia, Ibiza and Audi A2. This power unit replaced the almost identical AUA motor and then gave way to BKY.

Engine Volkswagen BCA

The 1.4-liter Volkswagen BCA 16v engine was produced by the concern from 2001 to 2010 and was installed on such popular company models as the Golf, Bora, Caddy and the new Beetle. This power unit is known to many by the Skoda Octavia Tour.

Engine Volkswagen BUD

The 1.4-liter 16-valve Volkswagen BUD engine was produced from 2006 to 2010 and was installed on a number of popular models such as Golf, Polo, Cuddy, as well as Fabia and Octavia. This motor replaced a similar BCA power unit on the conveyor and gave way to the CGGA.

Engine Volkswagen CGGA

The 1.4-liter Volkswagen CGGA 1.4 MPi gasoline engine was assembled from 2008 to 2014 and was installed on such popular models as the Golf 6, including the Plus version, and the Skoda Octavia 2. This unit, in fact, became one of the concern’s last naturally aspirated engines in its class.

Engine Volkswagen CGGB

The 1.4-liter 16-valve Volkswagen CGGB 1.4 MPi engine was assembled from 2009 to 2015 and was installed on such popular models as the fifth generation Polo, Skoda Fabia and Seat Leon. This power unit, in essence, was only an upgraded version of the BXW engine.

Engine Volkswagen ABU

The Volkswagen ABU 1.6-liter mono-injection engine was produced from 1992 to 1994 and was installed on the third generation of the Golf and Vento models, as well as the Seat Ibiza and Cordoba. There was an upgraded version of this power unit under its AEA index.

Engine Volkswagen AEE

The 1.6-liter Volkswagen AEE engine was assembled at the concern’s factory from 1995 to 2000 and installed on such popular company models as Golf 3, Vento, Caddy 2 and Polo 3. This unit is known to many by the first generation of Skoda Octavia.

Engine Volkswagen AUS

The 1.6-liter 16-valve Volkswagen AUS engine was produced from 2000 to 2005 and was installed on the fourth generation of the Golf model and similar Bora, Toledo and Leon. Also, this power unit had a EURO 3 modification under its own ATN index.

Engine Volkswagen AZD

The 1.6-liter Volkswagen AZD engine was assembled at the company’s factory from 2000 to 2006 and was installed on a number of cars based on the platform of the popular Golf 4 model. This unit was distinguished from the AUS predecessor by an updated ignition system and a different ECU.

Engine Volkswagen BCB

The 1.6-liter injection engine Volkswagen BCB 16v was produced from 2001 to 2006 and was installed on the Golf 4 model, as well as its counterparts such as Bora, Seat Toledo or Leon. This power unit is essentially an analogue of the AZD engine with an updated exhaust system.

Engine Volkswagen BTS

The 1.6-liter 16-valve Volkswagen 1.6 BTS engine was produced from 2006 to 2010 and was installed on such popular models of the German concern as Polo, Fabia, Ibiza and Cordoba. This motor differs from its predecessors in an aluminum cylinder block and a timing chain.

Engine Volkswagen CFNA

The 1.6-liter 16-valve Volkswagen 1.6 CFNA engine was produced from 2010 to 2016 and is primarily known for such popular models as the Polo Sedan and Rapid. This power unit was marked by a massive recall campaign to replace the piston group.

Engine Volkswagen CFNB

The 1.6-liter Volkswagen CFNB engine was produced at the Chemnitz plant from 2010 to 2016 and was installed on the very popular Polo Sedan and base versions of the Jetta. This power unit differed from the similar CFNA only in power characteristics.

Engine Volkswagen BMD

The 1.2-liter 3-cylinder Volkswagen BMD 1.2 HTP engine was assembled from 2004 to 2009 and put on a number of popular compact models of the concern, such as the Fox, Polo, Ibiza and Fabia. This power unit is essentially an updated version of the more famous AWY motor.

Engine Volkswagen BME

The 1.2-liter 12-valve Volkswagen BME 1.2 HTP engine was produced from 2004 to 2007 and was installed on the most compact models of the German concern, such as Polo, Ibiza and Fabia. This power unit is essentially just an update to the more famous AZQ motor.

Engine Volkswagen CGPA

The 1.2-liter Volkswagen CGPA 1.2 MPi gasoline engine was produced from 2009 to 2015 and was installed on such compact models of the concern as Polo 5, Ibiza 4, Fabia 2, Roomster. A similar motor, but with 75 hp, was installed on the popular Rapid under a different CGPC index.
