Engine Nissan SR18DE

The Nissan SR18DE engine appeared in 1992 and was an evolution of the SR18Di, with multipoint multipoint fuel injection instead of single injection. It is worth noting that the engines for the Nissan Pulsar and Sunny GTI have a high power (140 hp 6400 rpm) and a Compression ratio of 10 units. Structurally, the SR18DE is almost identical to the older “brother” SR20DE. The gas distribution mechanism for SR18DE engines is driven through a chain, there are hydraulic lifters (the engine does not need to adjust the valves), the ignition system is single-circuit. Engine Nissan SR20DE/DET/VE/VET

The SR20DE powertrain first appeared in 1989 and received an aluminum cylinder block with dry cast iron liners. The SR20 series engines received several modifications, the most powerful of which was intended for the Nissan X-Trail GT SUV. This variant was a turbocharged version with 212-248 intake camshafts, 8.0-11.0 mm lift and 244 outlet cams and 11.3 mm lift. The reliability and durability of the 2.0 liter Nissan SR20 series engines suggests that there are no global shortcomings.
