In my humble opinioin, the reputation list of mentioned diesel engines (from 2000 to 2010 era) would be:
1.9 JTD (best)
1.9 DCI (but versions with Bosch CR injection, like Mitsubishi made them)
1.9 TDI
1.5 DCI — that one became much better when they switched from Delphi to Bosch CR injection system, around 2012
Best regards from Serbia.
Well, boss, you overdid it. 1.9 tdi bkc durability 320,000 km, and durability 1.5 dci 400,000….I can’t believe you about that…..also 1.9 dci 500,000 km……difficult….I live in Europe, I have contact with European engines, and I can tell you that the 1.9 tdi and 1.9 jtd engines are far ahead of these two mentioned above, for the 1.9 jtd you wrote that the durability is around 250,000, 300,000, believe me, I have seen those engines with 900,000, 1,100,000, means over a million kilometers, the engine has not been opened ….. 1.9 tdi is also quite powerful, not only the older versions in the golf 3 and 4, but also the newer ones…. 1.9 tdi bkc and 1.9 jtd, the engines are much more durable, they have a much longer life span than a 1.5 dci engine, while yours says the opposite here….So yes….You overdid it….hahaha, LOL….
