Kia Spectra

The Kia Spectra is a mid-range car from the South Korean manufacturer Kia Motors Corporation. Cars, since 2000, have been manufactured in South Korea for 4 years in body modifications of a sedan and a 5-door hatchback. From 2004 to 2009, the sedan was assembled by the industrial assembly method at the Russian car plant in Izhevsk. In total, about 105 thousand copies were collected. In 2011, a limited series of machines was also created in the amount of 1,700 pieces. The Spectra is a modified version of its predecessor, the Kia Sephia.

Engine Kia S5D

The 1.5-liter 16-valve Kia S5D engine was produced in South Korea from 2000 to 2004 and was installed on the Asian version of the Spectra model, a similar A5D was installed on the first Rio. This motor was a hybrid of two Mazda units: a block from a Z5-DE, a head from a B5-DE.

Engine Kia S6D

The 1.6-liter gasoline engine Kia S6D was assembled at a factory in Korea from 2002 to 2011 and was installed on Spectra, Shuma and Carens models, a similar A6D was installed on Rio and Sephia. This power unit in its design is a clone of the popular Mazda B6-DE engine.

Engine Kia T8D

The 1.8-liter gasoline engine Kia T8D was assembled at a factory in Korea from 1995 to 2006 and was installed on such mass models as Carens, Sephia, Shuma and the American version of the Spectra. This motor and its variants T8, TB, TE, TED are clones of the Mazda BP power unit.

Engine Kia FED

The 2.0-liter 16-valve Kia FED or FE-DOHC engine was produced from 1993 to 2006 and was installed on such popular models as Clarus, Sportage and the American version of the Spectra. This power unit is inherently a variation of the well-known Mazda FE-DE engine.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4GC

The 2.0-liter Hyundai G4GC engine was assembled at the plant in Ulsan from 2000 to 2011 and was installed on such popular models of the company as the Sonata, Tucson, Kia Seed, Cerato and Soul. This unit belongs to the updated Beta II line and has an analogue for L4GC gas fuel.
