The Kia Ceed is a South Korean small car manufactured by the Kia Motors Corporation since 2006. The car is assembled in Slovakia, Russia and Kazakhstan in hatchback and station wagon bodies. Since 2012, the 2nd generation of cars has been produced. The manufacturer positions the Ceed as a car produced in Europe and intended for use in Europe. Ceed or Cee’d is an abbreviation taken from the initials of the European Community EEC.
The 1.0-liter Hyundai G3LE engine has been produced by the Korean concern only since 2020 and is installed on such popular models as i10, i20, Bayon, as well as Kia Rio, Ceed and Stonic. This unit belongs to the Smartstream line and is often combined with the iMT manual transmission.

The 1.6-liter Hyundai D4FE or Smartstream D 1.6 CRDi engine has been produced since 2017 and is installed on such popular concern models as the i30, i40, Ceed, Sportage or Tucson. This diesel engine exists in two different power versions: 116 hp / 280 Nm and 136 hp / 320 Nm.
