The 1.6-liter Peugeot DV6FDTED or DV6FD diesel engine was introduced in 2014 and is now installed on almost the entire extensive range of the French concern. For commercial vehicles, there is a modification derated to 95 hp and 210 Nm.

Disadvantages of the DV6FDTED engine
- At the moment, no statistics of its malfunctions have yet been formed.
- Most likely, fuel equipment with piezo injectors will be demanding on fuel.
- In addition, the BlueHDi gas cleaning system will probably need a special service.
