Disadvantages of the DV6FCTED engine
- There are no intelligible failure statistics for this diesel engine yet;
- Piezo injectors of modern fuel equipment do not tolerate bad diesel fuel;
- BlueHDi aftertreatment system will require specific maintenance.
One more thing, this bloc is similar to the DV6CTED, if the latter can make it to 500k km, this one also should.
The oil capacity is 3.75 l though.
Thanks

Hi,
I believe the recommended oil for the bluehdi technology is the 0W30 ACEA C2 by PSA groupe
The DEF technology (Adblue) is not reliable, often the Adblue pump goes faulty which requires the replacement of the whole tank.
Apart from this, this engine is strong and economic.
