Disadvantages of the HR12DE engine

  • This is a reliable motor, on the forums they regularly complain only about excessive vibrations;
  • The main cause of floating speed is throttle or injector contamination;
  • When using an inexpensive air filter, the mass air flow sensor quickly fails;
  • The weak points of the engine include the relay of the ignition unit, as well as the fuel pump in the tank;
  • Also, do not forget about adjusting the valve clearances, there are no hydraulic lifters here.
