Disadvantages of the MR18DE engine
- Due to thin walls, there were cases of cracking of the cylinder head when tightening bolts or candles;
- After 150,000 km, there is a high risk of stretching the timing chain, the main thing here is not to miss the moment;
- Often drivers are concerned about the rapid contamination of the throttle and the whistle of the alternator belt;
- Do not forget about the periodic adjustment of the gaps, since there are no hydraulic lifters;
- However, the main problem of the motor is the oil burner as a result of the occurrence of rings.
