Mitsubishi Outlander

The Mitsubishi Outlander is a compact crossover SUV manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors from 2001 to the present. At the beginning of sales in the domestic Japanese market, it was positioned as Mitsubishi Airtrek. The car is manufactured in the third generation at factories in Japan, the Netherlands, India, Thailand and Russia. The name of the car – Outlander – means “in search of adventure.” In 2014, the 3rd generation car underwent restyling. The changes affected the appearance, optics, suspension, ventilation and noise insulation of the cabin.

Engine Peugeot DW12MTED4

The 2.2-liter Peugeot DW12MTED4 or DW12M diesel engine was assembled from 2007 to 2013 and installed on the Mitsubishi Outlander crossover and its clones such as the Peugeot 4007 or Citroen C-Crosser. This power unit existed in two versions: 4HN for Euro 4 or 4HK for Euro 5.

Engine Mitsubishi 4B11

The 2.0-liter 16-valve Mitsubishi 4B11 engine has been produced by the concern since 2006 and is installed on the most popular models of the concern such as ASX, Outlander, Lancer or Eclipse Cross. This unit was created as part of a single alliance and is similar to the Chrysler ECN, Hyundai G4KA and G4KD.

Engine Mitsubishi 4B12

The 2.4-liter Mitsubishi 4B12 engine has been produced at the Japanese plant since 2006 and is installed on the group’s most popular models, such as Outlander, Lancer and Delica. This unit was created as part of a single alliance and is similar to the Chrysler ED3, Hyundai G4KC and G4KE.

The 4G63 engine is one of the most popular four-cylinder in-line engines, which was designed by the specialists of the Japanese company Mitsubishi. This power unit has about a dozen different modifications that have been installed on many Mitsubishi models.

Engine Mitsubishi 4G63T

2.0-liter Mitsubishi 4G63T turbo gasoline engine was produced from 1987 to 2007 and was installed in many of the company’s sports models such as the Lancer Evolution and Galant VR-4. Some modifications of this unit for the English market developed 411 hp and 481 Nm.

Engine Mitsubishi 4G64

2.4-liter Mitsubishi 4G64 (or G64B) gasoline engine has been in production since 1985. It is installed not only on a number of models of the Japanese concern, but also on cars from other manufacturers. This power unit was used for some time by Hyundai under the name G4JS.

Engine Mitsubishi 4G69

The 4G69 engine was the last in the famous Sirius series of the Mitsubishi concern. Its debut took place in 2003, and although after 2 years the Japanese auto giant replaced the engine with another, more modern one, its production did not stop completely.

Engine Mitsubishi 4J11

The 2.0-liter gasoline Mitsubishi 4J11 has been produced by the Japanese concern only since 2012 and is installed only on two of its models: the Outlander crossover and the Delica minibus. This motor differs from the 4B11 in a new head with VVL and one 16-valve camshaft.

Engine Mitsubishi 4J12

The 2.4-liter Mitsubishi 4J12 gasoline engine has been produced at the concern’s enterprise since 2013 and is installed on the European, Chinese or American versions of the Outlander crossover. This power unit is distinguished from the 4B12 by a new cylinder head with VVL and one 16-valve camshaft.

Engine Mitsubishi 6B31

The Mitsubishi 6B31 3.0-liter V-shaped 6-cylinder engine has been produced since 2006 and is installed only on two well-known models: the Outlander crossover and the Pajero Sport SUV. This power unit is considered the top in the line of gasoline engines of the Japanese concern.

Engine Mitsubishi 4N14

The 2.2-liter Mitsubishi 4N14 diesel engine has been produced by the concern only since 2010 and is installed on the popular Outlander and ASX crossovers, as well as the Delica D:5 minibus. This aluminum unit highlights the presence of a proprietary phase control system such as MIVEC.

Engine Nissan PR25DD

The 2.5-liter Nissan PR25DD engine (or PR25 for short) has been produced at the American plant since 2018 and is installed on the Altima sedan and on the 4th generation X-Trail, Rogue and Mitsubishi Outlander crossovers. This unit with direct fuel injection has replaced the popular QR25DE engine.
