Disadvantages of the XUD11ATE engine
- A design flaw is the low location of the expansion tank
- Therefore, sometimes the coolant level drops and breaks through the cylinder head gasket;
- Follow the fuel filter replacement schedule or you will have problems with the injection pump;
- During the installation of the fuel filter, its expensive glass often breaks;
- Hydraulic lifters knock from cheap oil and the turbine quickly fails;
- The electronically controlled injection pump periodically fails, and there are few specialists in it;
- On long runs, the prechambers crack and then they can fall into the cylinders.
