The name of the car “Murano” is borrowed from the Italian island of the same name. The car was originally manufactured for the North American market. The base platform is the Nissan FF-L. The first generation of the model was replaced in 2007 by the increasingly popular Nissan Rogue. However, by the end of 2007, the 2nd generation Murano was released, the external features of which were borrowed from the Rogue.
