Kia Optima

The Kia Optima or Kia Magentis is a mid-range sedan from the manufacturer Kia Motors Corporation. Production began in 2000. In 2016, the fourth generation model was launched. The sale of the model, depending on the country, takes place under different names. Cars of the 4th generation for Russia are assembled at the Kaliningrad “Avtokor” in the body version of a sedan. In addition to South Korea itself, there are factories for the production of Kia Optima in the USA, China, Malaysia and Kazakhstan.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4FJ

The Hyundai G4FJ 1.6-liter turbo engine or 1.6 T-GDI has been produced in Korea since 2011 and is installed on such popular models as Sportage, Tucson, Ceed, Seltos, Kona, Veloster and Soul. This power unit is distinguished by the presence of a direct fuel injection system and turbocharging.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4NA

The 2.0-liter Hyundai G4NA engine was first introduced by the company in 2010 and is installed on almost all significant models of the concern, such as Elantra, Optima and Sonata. There is a gas version of this engine without petrol injectors under its L4NA index.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4ND

Hyundai’s 2.0-liter G4ND engine added to the Nu powertrain family in 2011 and gained ground with the third and fourth generation Optima. The highlight of the motor is the CVVL valve lift system.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4NE

The company assembled the 2.0-liter Hyundai G4NE or 2.0 MPi Hybrid engine from 2012 to 2015 and installed it on the hybrid versions of the Sonata 6 and the similar Optima 3 for the Asian market. In the US market, such hybrids were equipped with a 2.4-liter G4KK unit of the Theta II series.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4NG

The 2.0-liter Hyundai G4NG or Sonata 2.0 GDi Hybrid engine was produced from 2015 to 2020 and was installed on the hybrid versions of the 7th generation Sonata and the similar 4th generation Optima.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4KD

The 2.0-liter Hyundai G4KD engine was produced in the USA and South Korea from 2008 to 2014 and was installed on many of the company’s popular models until it gave way to the similar G4NA. Now this motor is assembled at the Hyundai Wia plant in Shandong province for the local market.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4KH

The Hyundai-Kia G4KH 2.0-liter turbo engine or 2.0 Turbo GDi has been produced since 2010 and is installed on charged versions of such models as Sonata, Optima, Sorento and Sportage. There is a version of this unit for a longitudinal arrangement with its index G4KL.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4KJ

The 2.4-liter Hyundai-Kia G4KJ or 2.4 GDi petrol engine has been produced since 2009 and is installed on such popular models as Optima, Sonata, Santa Fe, Sorento and Sportage. This unit is distinguished by the presence of a GDi direct injection system and a block of balancing shafts.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4KK

The 2.4-liter Hyundai G4KK engine or 2.4 MPi Hybrid was produced from 2011 to 2017 and was installed only on hybrid modifications of the American versions of the Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima. Hybrids for the Asian market were equipped with a 2.0-liter Nu series unit under the G4NE index.

Engine Hyundai-Kia D4FE

The 1.6-liter Hyundai D4FE or Smartstream D 1.6 CRDi engine has been produced since 2017 and is installed on such popular concern models as the i30, i40, Ceed, Sportage or Tucson. This diesel engine exists in two different power versions: 116 hp / 280 Nm and 136 hp / 320 Nm.

Engine Hyundai-Kia D4FD

The 1.7-liter diesel engine Hyundai D4FD or 1.7 CRDi was produced from 2010 to 2019 and was installed on such popular concern models as ix35, i40, Optima, Tucson and Sportage. There are two modifications of such a unit: for environmentally friendly Euro 5 standards and updated for Euro 6..
