Hyundai ix35

The Hyundai ix35 is a compact crossover from the Correan manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company. Its other name – Hyundai Tucson – originated in honor of the city of Tucson, located in the US state of Arizona. Production started in 2004. At the moment, they are producing cars of the 2nd and 3rd generations. ix35 was manufactured not only in Korea, but also in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The assembly of the first generation cars is still going on at Ukrainian factories in the city of Cherkassy. Hyundai ix35 is developed on the same platform as Hyundai Elantra and Kia Sportage

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4FD

Hyundai’s 1.6-liter G4FD or 1.6 GDI engine was first introduced back in 2009 and is installed in a number of popular Hyundai models such as the Tucson, Veloster and Soul. This motor belongs to the Gamma II line and is distinguished by a direct fuel injection system.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4NA

The 2.0-liter Hyundai G4NA engine was first introduced by the company in 2010 and is installed on almost all significant models of the concern, such as Elantra, Optima and Sonata. There is a gas version of this engine without petrol injectors under its L4NA index.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4NC

The 2.0-liter Hyundai G4NC engine debuted on the Hyundai i40 2.0 GDi in 2011 and has been widely adopted in the European and American automotive markets. This power unit is distinguished by the presence of a proprietary direct fuel injection system.

Hyundai’s 2.0-liter G4ND engine added to the Nu powertrain family in 2011 and gained ground with the third and fourth generation Optima. The highlight of the motor is the CVVL valve lift system.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4KD

The 2.0-liter Hyundai G4KD engine was produced in the USA and South Korea from 2008 to 2014 and was installed on many of the company’s popular models until it gave way to the similar G4NA. Now this motor is assembled at the Hyundai Wia plant in Shandong province for the local market.

Engine Hyundai-Kia G4KE

The 2.4-liter Hyundai G4KE engine was produced in South Korea and the United States from 2008 to 2019 and was installed on many of the company’s large models, such as the Sonata, Sorento and Santa Fe. This powertrain is still assembled at Hyundai’s Chinese plant for the local market.

Engine Hyundai-Kia D4HA

The 2.0-liter Hyundai D4HA 2.0 CRDi diesel engine has been produced in Korea since 2009 and is installed on many popular crossovers such as Sportage, Tucson or Santa Fe. There are two different power modifications of this power unit for 136 or 185 hp.

Engine Hyundai-Kia D4FD

The 1.7-liter diesel engine Hyundai D4FD or 1.7 CRDi was produced from 2010 to 2019 and was installed on such popular concern models as ix35, i40, Optima, Tucson and Sportage. There are two modifications of such a unit: for environmentally friendly Euro 5 standards and updated for Euro 6..
