Infiniti QX4/QX56/QX80
The Infiniti QX4 / QX56 / QX80 is a Japanese luxury SUV from Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. From 1997 to 2003, the 1st generation of the model – QX4 – was produced in the middle class. Cars of the 2nd and 3rd generations – QX56 and QX80 – have been produced in the United States from 2004 to the present. Models produced before 2010 were analogous to the Nissan Armada, and later versions were built on the Nissan Patrol Z62 platform. The car was manufactured in both full- and rear-wheel drive configurations. In Russia, since 2007, only an all-wheel drive modification has been sold.

The parent of the VK56DE engine was the VK45DE. Unlike its older relative, this engine acquired a larger cylinder block with a height of 232 mm, due to which the connecting rods were extended to 154.5 mm. The cylinders themselves began to be produced wider by 5 mm, they became 98 mm wide, and a new crankshaft was also installed, which made it possible to increase the piston stroke to 92.8 mm.
