The Acura EL is a mid-size compact sedan from Honda Motor Co., Ltd. Manufactured from 1997 to 2005. The first generation of the model, produced before 2000, was essentially an analogue of Honda Domani. In 2007, the production of the 2nd generation machine was started. It is based on the 7th generation Civic model. In 2003 and 2004 the EL model has undergone modernization, which primarily affected its appearance and optics.

The 1.7-liter Honda D17A gasoline engine was produced by the company from 2000 to 2007 and was installed on such popular models of the Japanese concern as the Civic, FR-V or the Stream minivan.
