Engine Volkswagen DADA

The 1.5-liter Volkswagen DADA 1.5 TSI engine has been assembled by the German concern since 2017 and is installed on a number of modern models: from the modest Polo hatchback to the large Arteon coupe.

The EA211 series includes: CWVA, CWVB, CJZA, CJZB, CHPA, CMBA, CXSA, CZCA, CZDA, CZEA, DJKA, DACA, DADA.

Disadvantages of the VW DADA engine

  • Due to the relative novelty of this motor, there is little information about its malfunctions.
  • The engine is very demanding on fuel quality.
  • It is not known how a variable geometry turbine will behave on a gasoline engine.
  • A rather massive problem with the 1.5 TSI is the push when releasing the clutch in first gear.
