Before us is a modified version of the well-known naturally aspirated 1.8-liter four-cylinder VW engine, the main innovation of which was the use of turbocharging. The cylinder head in the engine uses a 20-valve, 5 valves per cylinder, with a variable valve timing system on the intake shaft. There are hydraulic lifters so you don’t need to adjust the valves to 1.8T. The timing belt uses a belt, which should be changed every ~ 60,000 km; if the belt breaks, the motor will bend the valve.
