Engine Mitsubishi 6G73

The engine was produced from 1990 to 2002 to equip not only the “Japanese”, it was installed on the Dodge and Chryslers. Like other representatives of the Cyclone family, the power unit is reliable and resource-intensive, quite powerful and relatively economical (average consumption is about 10 liters). The 6g73 engine has a V-layout, 6 cylinders packed in a cast iron block, and an aluminum lightweight “head”. During the release, the designers tried several valve timing options, including a single-shaft 24-valve SOHC and DOHC 24V – this is the most powerful version of the engine. The nominal volume is 2497 “cubes”, compression is 9.4-11.0.
