The engine was installed on:
- Audi A8 D2 (4D) in 1994 – 1998.
Disadvantages of the Audi ABZ engine
- This is an aluminum block motor and is very afraid of overheating and bad fuel;
- Poor maintenance and overheating leads to scoring in cylinders;
- Saving on oil here can result in the failure of hydraulic lifters;
- Follow the timing belt replacement schedule, as when it breaks, the valves bend;
- Also, lubrication leaks are often found here, and especially at the junction of the motor with the gearbox.
They are 32 valve engines. The newer 310hp are 40 valve
