Disadvantages of the Audi AEW engine
- Like any aluminum block engine, it is afraid of overheating and bad gas;
- Savings on maintenance and frequent overheating lead to scoring;
- The use of low-quality oil often results in the sound of hydraulic lifters;
- Monitor the condition of the timing belt, as with its breakage, the valves most often bend;
- Lubrication leaks are also regularly encountered, and especially at the junction of the motor with the gearbox.
