The Jeep Patriot is a compact crossover by Fiat Chrysler, produced since 2006 at the Illinois plant. The car is designed on the basis of the “PM” platform. In 2011, the Patriot underwent a restyling, during which the driving characteristics and interior were changed. In the Russian market, the model is better known as the Jeep Liberty due to the fact that at the time of its arrival on the roads of the Russian Federation another “Patriot” from UAZ was already driving. The first batch of G4KD engines (the second name is 4B11) rolled off the assembly line in 2005. The joint production of Kia and Mitsubishi has ensured compatibility with many vehicles from these brands. The model is part of the Theta II family, which replaced the outdated Beta.
