Disadvantages of the Mazda Z5-DE engine
- This structurally simple and reliable motor has practically no weak points;
- The main problems are related to improper and untimely maintenance;
- On long runs, an oil burner occurs due to wear on the valve stem seals;
- The timing belt is designed for 60,000 km, but it runs longer and the valve does not bend when it breaks;
- Every 80 – 100 thousand km, valve adjustment is required, there are no hydraulic lifters.
