Engine Nissan VH41DE

Engine Nissan VH41DE

The 4.1-liter VH41DE engine was designed based on its older brother, the VH45DE. The cylinder diameter remained the same – 93 mm, the volume reduction was achieved by installing a crankshaft with a smaller crank diameter and longer connecting rods. This allowed the piston stroke to be reduced to 76 mm. Recoil is fixed at 268 hp (200 kilowatts) at 5600 rpm and 377 Nm at 4000 rpm. Another difference between the VH41DE and its older brother is that the former uses a two-row timing chain. This is due to the field of application of these motors – two rows of chain increase the size of the motor.
