Engine Volkswagen CZPB

The company has been producing the 2.0-liter turbo VW CZPB or Passat B8 2.0 TSI engine since 2016 and installs it on such popular models as the Passat, Arteon, Superb, T-Roc, Ateka and Audi A3. This unit belongs to the economical motors of the gen3b series and operates on the Miller cycle.

Disadvantages of the VW CZPB engine

  • There is a big debate on specialized forums about oil consumption, some have it;
  • By about 150,000 km, the timing chain may stretch and require replacement;
  • The weak points of the engine include a pump and a variable displacement oil pump.
