Disadvantages of the Toyota 2AZ-FXE engine
- Until 2007, there was a coolant leak due to the breakdown of the threads of the cylinder head bolts;
- Motors after 2007 release usually suffer from a progressive oil burn;
- Throttle fouling is the main cause of floating rpm;
- The pump resource often does not exceed 50,000 km, after 150,000 km the chain stretches;
- In 2010, a recall was announced due to a possible fuel leak in the event of an accident.
