The Jaguar AJD 2.7-liter V6 diesel engine was produced by the concern from 2003 to 2009 and was installed on a number of well-known models of the British company, such as the XJ, XF and S-Type. A similar power unit was installed on Land Rover SUVs under its index 276DT. This motor is a kind of diesel 2.7 HDi.

The engine was installed on:
- Jaguar S-Type 1 (X200) in 2004 – 2007;
- Jaguar XF 1 (X250) in 2008 – 2009;

Disadvantages of the Jaguar AJD engine
- The most troublesome thing here is the Siemens fuel system with piezo injectors;
- There is also rapid wear of the liners, up to the wedge and crankshaft breakage;
- Another massive problem is oil leaks, especially through the heat exchanger;
- The timing belt changes every 120 thousand kilometers or, with its breakage, the valves will bend;
- The weak points of this motor include the thermostat, EGR valve and crankshaft oil seals.
