Thanks to the additional aftertreatment of the exhaust gases using Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, the engine complies with Euro 5. In addition, the D16G540 can be equipped with a VEB + engine brake (Volvo Engine Brake). This system provides high braking torque, which further enhances safety and reduces wear on the wheel brakes.
