The 1.5-liter Honda N15A turbodiesel was built from 2013 to 2023 and was offered mainly in compact cars for India and Southeast Asia: Amaze, City, Jazz, Mobilio, BR-V and WR-V. It is the smallest member of the Earth Dreams i-DTEC diesel family and was developed specifically for these markets.
Structurally it is a 16-valve DOHC four with chain-driven camshafts, Common Rail injection and a turbocharger with intercooler. The engine delivers 100 hp and 200 Nm, with peak torque already available from about 1750 rpm.
The N-series also includes: N16A, N22A and N22B.

Disadvantages of the Honda N15A engine
- Frequent short trips quickly coke the EGR valve and the intake tract;
- Common Rail injectors are sensitive to fuel quality and water in the fuel;
- On versions with a particulate filter, regeneration needs regular highway driving;
- The turbocharger does not tolerate delayed oil changes.
