The D13C420 engine is a 12.8 liter, 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine with overhead camshaft, 4 valves per cylinder and pump injectors. One of the advantages of this engine is its compliance with EC requirements for emission level of exhaust gases Euro 5. D13C420 is intended for transportation of heavy loads over long distances and for construction equipment.
Robust and reliable engine design with overhead camshaft, 4 valves per cylinder and electronic fuel injection. The design provides good driving characteristics, high level of efficiency and low fuel consumption.

In addition to optimizing the combustion process, the exhaust gases are purified using Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. Before the exhaust gases enter the SCR catalytic converter, AdBlue is injected into the exhaust gas, which reacts with nitrogen oxides to significantly reduce emissions. Thanks to this system, the D13C420 is approved according to the Euro 5 emission standard.
The engine also meets noise standards. This is achieved due to the fact that the crankshaft and camshaft are equipped with hydraulic vibration dampers to minimize noise and vibration. Also, for even greater noise absorption at low engine speeds, a small amount of fuel injection is used, which is produced before the injection of the main portion.
