Disadvantages of the VW BRN engine
- This engine is afraid of overheating, so keep an eye on its cooling;
- Constant overheating and low-quality oil contribute to the formation of scoring;
- Seizures in the cylinders lead not only to knocking, but also to impressive oil consumption;
- A decrease in lubrication pressure in the system often results in turning the liners;
- After 200,000 km, timing chains can stretch, and to replace them, you need to remove the engine.
