Disadvantages of the A16XER engine
- Most often, there are ignition problems and the weak point here is the coil module;
- In second place are lubricant leaks from the heat exchanger, usually its gasket is rented;
- When using non-original oil, phase regulators quickly fail;
- A strong whistle under the hood is a sign of a breakdown in the crankcase ventilation system;
- Every 100,000 km, valve clearances need to be adjusted by selecting cups.
