The D7F240 is a 7.2-liter in-line 6-cylinder diesel engine. The engine complies with EU Euro 5 emission standards. The engine is equipped with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), which traps microscopic soot particles in the exhaust gases and then burns them back during the regeneration process, leaving only fine ash.
One of the advantages of the engine is its flexibility due to its wide torque range and quick response to pressing the accelerator pedal. As well as efficient combustion and exhaust filtration using SCR technology, it ensures low fuel consumption, long service intervals and low emission levels.

The EMS electronic engine management system achieves low emissions and low fuel consumption. The shape of the inlet ports in the cylinder head results in reduced rotational speed and reduced pressure drop. This reduces the toxicity of exhaust gases and increases efficiency.
The fuel injection interval has a variable duration, which has a positive effect on the noise level and the toxicity of the engine exhaust. A small amount of fuel is injected before the injection of the main portion. This significantly reduces ignition lag and reduces noise generated during the main combustion sequence.
