Disadvantages of the VW BWA engine
- Most often, owners complain about oil consumption and increased soot formation;
- Intake valves and the mechanism for changing geometry in the intake suffer from soot;
- Replacing native pistons with forged ones can help get rid of the oil burner here;
- By 100,000 km, the intershaft chain can stretch and the phase regulator can fail;
- The pusher of the injection pump drive serves very little here, sometimes it is changed at 50,000 km;
- The ignition coils and bypass valve N249 also have a low resource.
