The D4AL engine belongs to the type of overhead valve (OHV, OverHead Valve – “valves in the head of the block”). The location of the valves on top, that is, in the cylinder head, made it possible to optimize the size of the combustion chamber, experiment with its shape and reduce air losses. As a result, the capacity with the same volume increases by at least 25%.
