Engine 4G15 under the hood

Engine Mitsubishi 4G15

The 4G15 engine, which has been in production for over 20 years, is a bored version of the 4G13 engine. The cylinder block was taken from a 1.3-liter engine and bored out for a 75.5 mm piston (was 71 mm). Some modifications were equipped with direct injection GDI, some versions of the 4G15 had the MIVEC variable valve timing system. In general, the engine is of medium reliability, a number of minor problems are encountered, and the use of high-quality fuels and lubricants partially protects from them.
