The common rail injection system of the new DAF MX 300 engine allows high injection pressures of up to 2,500 bar and pre-injection and post-injection or a combination of both. This leads to finer atomization of the fuel and many other opportunities to optimize combustion and ensure the lowest emissions, noise and fuel consumption. In combination with the SCR system, which additionally processes emissions, maximum fuel combustion is achieved with significant fuel economy.
In order to increase the reliability of the DAF MX 300 engine, it was decided to reduce the number of components, because the fewer components, the less the likelihood of unit failure. Namely, the oil circulation is improved, low-pressure fuel lines are built into the injection pump housing, foam materials are used to damp electrical wiring vibrations, a large bearing and crankshaft are reinforced – this and much more contributes to an increase in the durability and reliability of the motor.

In addition to the two unique pumps, new and improved motor software, new sensors and drives also play an important role. These systems are now even faster and more precise, ensuring that the mixture of air, exhaust gas and fuel is always optimally injected. This is a key factor in achieving maximum efficiency and lower emissions. What should be noted in the latest versions of engines are some improvements that allow you to increase the torque even at low rpm, and over a fairly wide frequency range.
