The 2.0-liter Audi BHZ turbo engine was installed only in the second-generation Audi S3 (8P) from 2006 to 2008. It was the most powerful engine of the first generation of the EA113 2.0 TFSI family.
Compared with the 200-hp AXX and BWA, it received strengthened pistons, connecting rods and bearings, a reinforced cylinder block and a larger BorgWarner K04 turbocharger. It produces 265 PS and 350 Nm. Like other EA113 TFSI engines, it has a cast-iron block, an aluminum 16-valve head, direct injection, a timing belt with a chain between the camshafts and a phase shifter on the intake camshaft.
EA113-TFSI family: AXX, BPY, BWA, BHZ, CDL.

Disadvantages of the Audi BHZ engine
- The cam follower of the high-pressure fuel pump wears and can damage the camshaft lobe if it is not replaced in time;
- Direct injection leads to carbon deposits on the intake valves;
- The crankcase ventilation valve and the turbo diverter valve often fail;
- The timing belt must be replaced on schedule, since the valves bend if it breaks.
