Toyota Progres

Toyota Progres is a Japanese executive sedan car manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation. Produced from 1998 to 2007. The translation of the name of the car means “progress”. The model is based on the FR Toyota XG platform. In 2001, there were changes in the appearance of the car. At the same time, a sports modification appeared, denoted as iR. The Progres model was configured with both rear and all-wheel drive.

Engine Toyota 1JZ-GE

The 2.5-liter Toyota 1JZ-GE engine was assembled at the Tahara Plant in Japan from 1990 to 2007 and was installed in popular rear-wheel drive models with automatic transmission only. There are two versions of this motor: the 1990 model and the 1995 model with the VVT-i system.

Engine Toyota 1JZ-FSE

The 2.5-liter Toyota 1JZ-FSE engine was produced from 1999 to 2007 at the Tahara Plant in Japan and was installed only on rear and all-wheel drive models with automatic transmission. The power unit is distinguished primarily by the proprietary D4 direct fuel injection system.

Engine Toyota 2JZ-GE

Toyota’s 3.0-liter 2JZ-GE engine was assembled at the Tahara Plant in Japan from 1991 to 2007 and fitted to the company’s popular rear wheel drive models such as the Aristo, Crown and Mark II. There are two modifications of this motor: a 1991 stock model and a 1997 version with VVT-i.
