Audi 100

The Audi 100 is a family of business-class passenger cars produced from 1968 to 1994 by the car manufacturer Audi AG. The cars were manufactured in the body of a sedan, station wagon, coupe, hatchback in front- and all-wheel drive modifications. The number 100 in the name of the model meant the engine power of the first generation car, which was the highest performance for a car of this line at that time. In total, four generations of the model were released. In 1990, a hybrid version of the model was released – the Audi Duo, and a year later – its second generation.

Engine Audi AAD

The 2.0-liter Audi AAD gasoline engine was produced by the concern from 1990 to 1993 and was installed on the company’s most popular models of its time with indexes 80 and 100. This power unit was equipped with a very capricious KE-Motronic fuel injection system.

Engine Audi AAE

The 2.0-liter mono-injection Audi AAE engine was assembled at the factory from 1990 to 1996 and installed on the popular 100 C4 model in the 45th body, and also the similar A6. The low power of this motor is due to the presence of the Mono-Motronic injection system.

Engine Audi ABK

The 2.0-liter 8-valve Audi ABK engine was produced by the company from 1991 to 1996 and was installed on such popular models of the German concern as 80 B4, 100 C4 and A6 C4. This power unit was equipped with a very reliable Digifant multipoint injection system.

Engine Audi ACE

The 2.0-liter Audi 2.0 ACE 16v engine was produced by the German concern from 1992 to 1997 and was installed on the most popular models of the German company of its time: 80, 100, A6. This power unit stood out among other engines of the family by the presence of a 16-valve cylinder head.

Engine Audi RT

The 2.0-liter 5-cylinder Audi 2.0 RT engine was assembled by the concern from 1988 to 1990 and was installed on some modifications of the popular 100 C3 model in the 44th body. This engine at one time could be equipped with both the K-Jetronic and KE-Jetronic injection systems.

Engine Audi KU

The 2.2-liter Audi 2.2 KU gasoline engine was produced by the concern from 1984 to 1990 and was installed on the popular 100 C3 model in the 44th body. This motor was equipped with a rather difficult to maintain K-Jetronic mechanical injection.

Engine Audi NF

The 2.3-liter Audi 2.3 NF engine was assembled at the concern’s enterprises from 1986 to 1990 and was installed only on the third generation of a very popular model with an index of 100. After not the biggest upgrade in 1990, this power unit became known as AAR.

Engine Audi AAR

The 2.3-liter Audi AAR engine was assembled at the factories of the German concern from 1990 to 1996 and was installed on the model under the index 100 in C3 – C4 bodies and the very first generation A6.

Engine Audi ABC

The 2.6-liter gasoline V6 engine of the Audi ABC was produced by the company from 1992 to 1997 and was installed on such popular concern models of its time as 80, 100, A4 and A6 C4. There is a derated version of this power unit under its own ACZ index.

Engine Audi AAH

The 2.8-liter Audi AAH 2.8 V6 gasoline engine was produced by the concern from 1990 to 1997 and was installed on the most popular models of the German company such as 80, 100, A4, A6 or A8. This power unit was known in some markets under a completely different AFC index.

Engine Audi CN

The 2.0-liter 5-cylinder Audi CN diesel engine was produced from 1978 to 1988 and was installed in the second and third generations of the rather popular Audi 100 model. This diesel engine had a supercharged DE modification, as well as an NC version with a turbine and intercooler.

Engine Audi AAS

The 2.4-liter 5-cylinder Audi AAS diesel engine was produced from 1991 to 1994 and was installed only on the fourth generation of the popular Audi 100 model. This unit is an updated version of the 3D diesel engine known from the C3 model.

Engine Audi AAT

The 2.5-liter Audi AAT 2.5 TDI diesel engine was produced by the company from 1991 to 1997 and was installed only on two models of the concern: with an index of 100 or a similar A6 in the C4 body. This five-cylinder power unit is famous for its high reliability and long service life.

Engine Audi 1T

The 2.5-liter Audi 1T 2.5 TDI diesel engine was produced by the concern from 1989 to 1991 and was installed only on a restyled version of the popular model with an index of 100 in the C3 body. This engine was the first representative of a very famous line of 5-cylinder diesel engines.
