The Volvo D13A480 is a turbocharged, intercooled engine with a single cylinder head, overhead camshaft and electronic fuel injection.
D13A480 provides excellent performance, high reliability and great fuel economy. The camshaft drive is located at the rear of the engine, which reduces vibration and allows a power take-off to be mounted on the rear of the engine. The cylinder block and cylinder head are made of cast iron to ensure reliable engine operation.
