The Mercedes OM446 engine is a naturally aspirated V8 turbocharged diesel engine with an output of 381 to 530 hp and meets the environmental standard “Euro-1”. After August 1991, production engines were equipped with an additional retarder consisting of exhaust valves located on the cylinder head.
V-shaped diesel OM446 of the 400th long-stroke – with a cylinder diameter of 128 mm, the piston stroke is 142 mm. Includes 27 modifications. The large displacement engine is designed for tough working conditions. Used on Mercedes-Benz Sk trucks.
