Disadvantages of the N74B68 engine
- The main problems of the motor are associated with rapid coking at idle;
- Turbines can fail up to 100,000 km due to coking in oil lines;
- By a mileage of 150 thousand km, the Double VANOS system may already require attention here;
- After 150,000 km, timing chains often stretch, and their replacement will be expensive;
- Also, valve stem seals quickly tan in the engine and lubricant consumption appears.
